Research/Teaching Interests: genetic analysis of diverse organisms including bacteria, fungi, birds, plants and animals

Academic Highlights:
Facutly: Northern Arizona University, 1989
Postdoctoral Fellow: Iowa State University, 1987-1988
Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Assistant Professor: University of Utah, 1981-1987
PhD:University of Kansas, Plant Biochemistry, 1981
BS: Northern Arizona University, Biology and Chemistry, 1977

Dr. Keim works on the molecular genetic analysis of diverse organisms including bacteria, fungi, birds, plants and animals. This primarily focused on defining population structure or addressing systematic issue. In a few cases, this approach has been used in forensic investigations of criminal acts.
