Help: Quick Reference Search
Abstract: Quickly look up words and topics in a variety of online reference sources.
The Quick Reference search, located in the right column of all Research Resources pages, enables you to quickly look up words or topics in some select online dictionaries, encyclopedias, and thesauri:
- The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary includes audio clips for pronunciation.
- The Merriam-Webster Thesaurus includes defintions, synonyms, and related words.
- Wikipedia is the premier multilingual, Web-based encyclopedia written collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world.
