Help: Connecting to NAU Licensed Resources

Abstract: To access NAU licensed resources, non-NAU network users must logon with an NAU ID and password.

The library's licensed subscription databases and resources (identified with the Northern Arizona University icon) are intended for the use of the NAU community. If you are using a non-NAU Internet service and click on a licensed resource link or launch a search aimed at licenced resources, you will be prompted for an NAU user ID and password:

EZProxy Authentication Screen

Enter your NAU ID and password to logon. Once logged in, you will automatically be redirected to the licensed resource. If during your browser session you return to the library Web site and click on another licensed resource link, you won't have to logon again.

If you have problems logging on, verify that your NAU ID and password are correct. For help with IDs and passwords, students should contact the Student Technology Center: 523-9294 (or toll-free at 888-520-7215); faculty and staff should contact the Solution Center: 523-1511 (or toll-free at 888-520-7215). Online assistance with IDs and passwords is also available.

If you still have problems connecting, you may want to try configuring your computer for an NAU VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection. Once you have the VPN up and running, you can click on a library licensed resource link and go straight to the database or Web site as if you were on campus-- no logon required. For more information see the ITS Mensa team's VPN page. See also the Client Configuration instructions for various types of computers. Contact the Student Technology Center (students) or the Solution Center (faculty/staff) for help in setting up the NAU VPN.

For help in using the library's licensed resources, or to report recurring connection problems, see Ask a Librarian.
