Help: Quick Search
Abstract: Find out more about the quick search options available from all library Web site pages. Quick search now includes options for Google Scholar and the new "360 Search - General Research" for searching multiple research databases.
The Quick Search utility is located in the upper right corner of all Cline Library Web pages, and is also included in the MyNAU Portal Library Toolbox channel (click on the Learning Tab).

- 360 Search - General Research allows you to search multiple research databases covering all kinds of topics, all at once. The databases include Academic OneFile, Academic Search Premier, Project Muse, and ScienceDirect. You can enter multiple keywords and/or enclose phrases in quotation marks, e.g., legislation and "health care"
- Select Books & Media to search the library catalog for books, media items like DVDs and audio CDs, and other materials, e.g., wildlife and habitat
- Select Journal Keyword to look for online magazines, journals, and newspapers using title keywords, e.g. sociology finds American Journal of Sociology
- Select Google Scholar to find academic content from every corner of the Web. This Google Scholar search option is optimized for NAU access, meaning that in many cases you can connect to NAU licensed databases and the library catalog from your search results. Enclose phrases or institution names in quotation marks, e.g., forestry "Northern Arizona University"
Please note: if you are connecting to the internet from a non-NAU network, you will be asked to authenticate with your NAU ID and password before viewing 360 and Google Scholar search results.
