Help: Find Articles and Research Information
Abstract: Learn more about using the new Find Articles and Research Information page to find research databases and Web sites relevant to a variety of topics.
Use the Find Articles & Research Information page to find recommended research databases and Web sites relevant to a topic of interest.
- 1. First, select a topic of interest from the menu or start with the default "General Research" option (General Research lists resources that cover many different disciplines or subjects).
- 2. To the right of the menu you will see one or more recommended searches for the topic. All topics will display a 360 Search box. Use it to search multiple databases related to the topic, all at once. For more information about 360 Searches, see the help page.
- 3. You can also browse title lists of recommended resources for the topic by clicking on a letter. Click on "Browse All Resources alphabetically" to see the complete list of resources arranged alphabetically by title.
- 4. Other pages are available for searching multiple research databases through the 360 Search, CSA Illumina, and EBSCOhost services.
- 5. The "Recommended ... Resources" section lists the major databases and Web sites related to your topic. To find out more about the resources listed here, mouse over a "More Info" link for a summary or click to get to a detailed information page.
- 6. The "More ... Resources" section lists all relevant links for the topic organized by types of resources: article resources that provide journal articles or citations, reference resources including dictionaries, encyclopedias, and directories, related Web sites, and so on. The default list is Article Resources-- click on another tab to see for example, reference resources for the topic

From this page in the far right column you can also search directly for information on the various research databases and Web site links that the library provides:
- 7. "Find Web Resources by Title and Keyword" lets you search for databases and Web sites by title, words in titles, and other descriptive keywords. The illustration shows an example for a known database title. For more information on using this search, see the help page.
- 8. Remember that resource links or searches identified as "NAU" are intended solely for the use of NAU students, faculty, and staff. If you're trying to connect from a non-NAU network or Internet service provider, see the information on connecting from EZProxy/CAS or an NAU VPN connection.
