Content Summary: Consists of 75 images from a Glen Canyon/Lake Powell trip made in late October of 1965. The thirteen digitized prints and slides depict views of beach camps, pictographs, ruins of a cliff-dwelling (including roof structure as well as stone walls), reflections in water, plants under water, sandstone pot holes, and natural bridges. Sites named are Moki Canyon [or Moqui Canyon], Escalante River, and Gregory Bridge. The people shown in the pictures are Tad and Mary Jane Nichols, Lucy Arnold, and Peggy Lamont. Images not digitized depict two other men fishing (one named Allen Hansen), the camps at Little Labyrinth and at Wilson Canyon, some campfires on the beach, and one aerial view of the lake. Other named sites are Indian Creek, Warm Springs, 7 Mile Canyon, Forgotten Canyon, Cathedral of the Desert, and Clear Creek. Although not all the images from this group are online, all are available for viewing at Cline Library Special Collections and Archives Department.
Biography/History: Most of the slides in this group were actually taken by Mary Jane Nichols.
